Election Day is HERE!

If you're planning to vote on Election Day tomorrow, find your local polling location the Chicago Board of Elections website. Polls are open from 6am-7pm.

You may have seen the news reports about long lines at the polls — note that all Early Voting sites are also open tomorrow and Chicago voters can vote at any EV site (see full list here), so if it's easier to vote near your school or work and those are outside the ward, drop in and get it done!

If you're going to be downtown, the Board Supersite at Clark and Lake has 72 machines. (Details here) — I voted downtown yesterday and breezed right through.

Here in the 48th ward, the Broadway Armory (5917 N Broadway) is often a little more quiet on Election Day. On the first day of Early Voting when lines were long, I called and had two additional voting booths installed to help alleviate congestion... although it's hard to combat this turnout of excited voters!

Here's some additional information for you if you're heading out to vote tomorrow:

  • Looking for a sample ballot? Go here to the Chicago Board of Elections website.

  • Need help with the judges?  Check out Injustice Watch, where you can also create a ballot to take to the polls.

  • Not sure about your School District? Find your district at this map on the 48th ward website. If you're looking for vote guidance, I have personally endorsed Ebony DeBerry in the 2nd District and Karen Zaccor in the 4th District.

Trouble at the polls? If you think your rights have been violated or need to report an issue at any polling location in Chicago, call Election Central at 312-269-7870.

All right, 48th ward! Let's show everyone what a big turnout at the polls looks like! I'll be out and about tomorrow, so be sure to say hello if you see me at your polling location.

In Solidarity,

Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth
48th Ward Alderwoman and Democratic Committeewoman
